I hope that everyone wasn’t too busy with activities. We need your batteries recharged for our final nine weeks! June 5th, our last day of school, is just around the corner! I’ve got lots to share – including some useful links. So keep the email or our website handy.
Yearbook sales are now open! Flyers will be coming home this week. We continue to use Picaboo Yearbooks which offers four free personalized pages if you purchase the book through their website. This means you can upload your own images and put your own text to commemorate the year. Click here if you are ready to order! If you prefer to pay by check you will return it with the flyer. Orders and online customization is due by May 1st, 2018.
We would love for you to take the county School Climate Survey. It gives feedback to the Randolph crew and it also notifies the central office team about how we are doing in things such as safety, academics and relationships. It’s quick and easy to do, even on your smart phone browser. So please give us a few minutes of your time to improve or praise the work we do with your child.
Wednesday, April 11th is spring picture day – both individual portraits and class photos will be taken. You are getting two flyers in backpacks. You must prepay for the class picture online or by sending a check with the group flyer. You will pay for the individual portraits later when a sample is printed and comes home. If you want to pre-select the background for those pictures you should also send back the portrait flyer with your selection.
Other upcoming events:
2nd grade starts their YMCA swim program on Tuesday. Don’t forget to send students on those days with proper swim attire as directed by your child’s teacher. Variety Show Tryouts are being held on Tuesday afternoon. This is for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students only. The flyer that went home had very specific instructions. Please make sure to read them thoroughly if you plan to audition. 5th graders signed up for middle school band should try to visit Mr. Sykes, the band director, on April 12th from 5:30 to 8pm in the middle school cafeteria to try out different instruments. If you cannot attend you can contact him at email@example.com. And lastly, 5th grade has their big Washington, D.C. field trip on Friday. You have to bring your child to school early and pick them up late. Please make sure you know arrival and departure times published by your child’s teacher.
