Did I make your heart stop for a moment? I’ve got you thinking it’s Sunday. No worries, I am purposefully putting the School Messenger out on Saturday evening to give a last minute plug for our 4th Grades Journey Project Culminating Event. As you may have seen in the latest Goochland Gazette on page 3, our 4th graders will be showcasing months of hard work on the Courthouse Green on Sunday from 3-5pm. Please consider stopping by as our students share murals, a commercial, coffee table books, and a photo gallery featuring local residents.
Other announcements and calendar items:
- STEM camp is still accepting registrations. It will run from June 18-22 and registration is now open. Here is a link to the form.
- SOL testing begins this week: Tuesday is 4th Reading, Wednesday is 5th reading, Thursday is 3rd reading and Friday is 4th VA studies. Students should have iPads charged for the test, be at school on time, eat a good breakfast and get a good nights sleep! Related to this is that we need families to return the SOL retake forms. This gives us permission (after notifying you) to retest some kids that may have just missed the passing mark.
- 5th grade return Eagle Evolution forms for 6th grade and the Graduation and Pool Party forms.
- And please make sure to mark Thursday, May 17th at 6:30pm on your calendar for a PTA meeting. Third Grade will take us on a Journey to the Ancient World and then we’ll all meet outside for some Kona Ice!
See you Monday!
