Monday, September 30th will be a Day 3.
Roadrunner Warrior Dash: Our Roadrunner Warrior Dash assembly kicked student fundraising efforts off on Friday and we hope that you find this year’s online submission form an easy way to send emails and track donation requests! If you have any questions about our new digital process this year, please contact Krissy Watson (firstname.lastname@example.org). Remember that all messages need to be sent and donation recording charts are due on Wednesday, October 16. It’s great if money is sent in by this date as well, but we will happily accept donations all school year long! Online donations can be made using this link.
Parents, if you are interested in ordering a Roadrunner Warrior Dash event day T-shirt for yourself, please submit your order form and payment by next Thursday, October 4. All students will receive a shirt (at no cost) the morning of our big event. A big congrats to Katherine Pushinsky, a fifth-grader, for creating the winning design featured on this year‘s shirt!
Lastly, a big thank you to one of our PLATINUM SPONSORS of the Roadrunner Warrior Dash! Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing information about our biggest corporate donors. This week we’re featuring Richmond Virginia Orthodontics (RVO)! RVO provides orthodontic care including braces and Invisalign for children, teens, and adults. Located in the Greengate complex in Short Pump, their brand new office offers complimentary consultations, private treatment rooms, state of the art equipment, a gaming room, and freshly brewed coffee at their in house Starbucks Charity Cafe! Dr. Kevin Bibona was recently named Top Doc by Richmond Magazine and he would love to see some Randolph Roadrunner smiles!
Randolph Bookfair: The RES Bookfair is just around the corner and syncs up with its final sales day during the Roadrunner Warrior Event on October 11th. Here is an informational link that will connect you with the product flyer, volunteer signup sheet, and details about the student wallet digital payment option. Sue Vaughan would love you to visit each of these links, especially the volunteer one! Next week I’ll share the details about daily spirt wear and special events that happen to start on Friday, October 11th.
RES Spirit Night: To get ready for our Roadrunner Warrior Dash event, mark your calendar for Thursday, October 10th for a special Randolph evening at Bogey’s Sports Park. In addition to hanging out with fellow Roadrunners, you’ll support our PTA! 20% of the proceeds from our visit will be given donated to our PTA.
Calendar for this week: Wednesday is Custodian Appreciate Day. Consider encouraging your child to make a card for Nikki Harris, our head custodian, and Brenda Hope, our new full-time custodian. Also on Wednesday, our Kindergarten students are headed to Carter Mountain for an apple pickin’ field trip! And Wednesday busy as our 1st and 2nd grade Garden Club will meet that afternoon. We had a ton of people apply this year, so you should have received a message from Mrs. Martin as to whether or not you are able to attend. On Friday we will all celebrate Goochland High School Homecoming by showing Bulldog Spirit. Wear red and gold so we can show our support. Randolph gear would be fine too. Second grade will be kicking off their Journey Project, welcoming Susan Clark (a storyteller) who will share stories with 2nd grade from Virginia Native Americans.
