Hello there Roadrunners!
I’ve got an important save the date for you!! It’s actually the official last day of school, Wednesday, June 3rd. On that day, from 2 PM to 7 PM we are signing up ten Randolph staff members per hour to cheer you into the summer! You will come to the gym to get your bag of student belongings, an envelope of year-end items, and to turn in library books. Once I have a complete staff signup list I will share it so that, if possible, you can schedule your visit to hit at a time when someone you know will be there!
A note about the student learning packets, which technically ended new content this past Friday. As a county, we have decided that elementary learning packets should be kept by families. Completion of the packets and contact between student and teacher varied greatly throughout this unplanned closure. All students are to be promoted to the next grade level. Please use the plans to guide continued summer structure and academic exposure. Here is the link to all of the learning plans in case you want access to other grades or the encore activities that are a great way to stay educationally engaged.
A reminder that teachers are maintaining office hours through June 3rd. I encourage you to reach out to them if you have learning plan or learning in general questions. For now, Amy Heilmann plans to continue her art Google Hangouts through the end of June!
Just in case some 5th-grade families missed it. A reminder that the graduation home visits are happening each day starting on Tuesday, May 26th instead of starting tomorrow. Please contact your child’s teacher to confirm that you are home on the new teacher’s scheduled date.
Time for birthdays! No Kindergarten birthdays this week, but we do have Addie and Marcie in 1st grade! Claire, Ian, and Kate are Randolph 2nd grade birthday kiddos. Evelyn, a happy 3rd-grade birthday! Chris, Jack, and Sarah, we hope you have a fabulous 4th-grade birthday! And lastly, Lily and Robbie, we wish you a special 5th grader HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
