Our Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program is making a positive impact in our schools! This nationally recognized program invites fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father figures to volunteer in our schools, providing positive male role models and an extra layer of support for students and staff throughout the school day.
From greeting students and helping in classrooms to supporting recess and lunch, our Watch D.O.G.S. help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment. We’re proud to offer this program at Randolph and Goochland Elementary, and we’re grateful for the time and commitment of our Watch D.O.G.S. who show up for our students each day. 💙

Each day this week, we’ll be spotlighting one of our incredible educators who go above and beyond for GCPS students.
Today, we’re proud to celebrate Randolph Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Michelle Clark!
Whether she’s supporting students in her own room or lending her expertise in classrooms across the building, Mrs. Clark is always fully engaged—building strong relationships, setting high expectations, and offering guidance to colleagues who rely on her special education expertise. Her dedication to the entire RES community shines through in everything she does.

In the words of her peers...
"Whenever you pass by a room with Michelle Clark in it, you can always hear her engaging with students. While the conversation is often rich with academic language and explicit instruction, you’ll occasionally hear her students excitedly sharing pieces of their personal lives. Michelle uses those moments to build strong, lasting relationships that extend far beyond her time with those students and their families."
"Michelle truly cares about her students and holds them to high standards—and she does the same with her colleagues. Many rely on her special education expertise, frequently seeking her input. She is a wealth of knowledge and is always willing to brainstorm ideas, discuss a child’s needs, or support her collaborative colleagues in any way she can."
"Michelle consistently goes above and beyond in everything she does. She is dedicated not only to her students, but to the entire RES community. She does an incredible job organizing and creating the yearbook, and still finds time to motivate staff through positive messages and holiday-themed secret gift exchanges. Michelle’s enthusiasm for education is truly contagious."
Please join us in celebrating this well-deserved honor!
