We are pleased to introduce our new Speech-Language Pathologist, Ms. Worcester!
Fun Facts:
-This is her 18th year working as a school-based SLP.
-She enjoys riding bikes, playing board games, listening to music, and reading (especially mysteries).
-Ms. Worcester is a mother to four children.
-She has two dogs: a lab mix named Sky and a beagle named Moo!
Welcome to the Roadrunner family, Ms. Worcester! #weRrandolph
The RES Girls on the Run program begins September 16th! Each practice begins with a heart to heart conversation about a certain topic (like friendship or self esteem), then ends with physical activity (a mini warm-up and a "run" - any movement forward). At the end of the season, our Girls on the Run team will celebrate with a 5k and do a community service project! #weRrandolph
September is Attendance Awareness Month!
Showing up for school has a huge impact on a student’s academic success. Starting in kindergarten, missing 10% of school (or just 2 days every month) can make it harder to learn to read and cause children to fall behind in school.
BOOK FAIR VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Please click on the following link to sign up to volunteer at the Book Fair. Help is needed from September 19-27th. We really appreciate you!

PLANTS & TREES NEEDED!
Do you have any artificial plants or trees that you could loan us for Book Fair decorations? We are hoping to transform the Library into a forest. All items are available to be returned when the Book Fair closes on September 27th. Please contact Susan Vaughan at svaughan@glnd.k12.va.us for more information. Thank you!

We are excited for WEEK ONE with our roadrunners,
Melissa Reams, Principal
We are excited to welcome art teacher, Ms. Ware, back to Randolph!
Fun Facts:
-She has been teaching for 34 years! (Randolph was the first school where she worked when she came to Goochland County in 2004.)
-Her favorite style of art is Sashimono (a tradition of making furniture without nails or screws).
-Ms. Ware absolutely loves the cityscapes of artist, Wayne Thiebaud. They make her laugh with their bright vivid color combinations, sweeping angles, and impossible perspectives.
-Her hobbies include pottery (of course!), playing her ukulele, and building furniture.
-Ms. Ware loves to build. She is a contractor and she designed and built her own home! She's also really skilled at power tools. So when things break, she knows how to fix them.
We just know that our students are looking forward to art lessons with Ms. Ware! #weRrandolph
To kick off the new school year, the Goochland County Sheriff's Office is holding their second movie night at the Goochland Drive-In. The featured movie will be Despicable Me 4 (this movie is PG).
Spots are limited to 200 vehicles, so show up early!
*This free event is only for Goochland families with school-age children. Each vehicle must contain at least one Goochland School-age resident. We ask that your child either wears their school colors/shirt, brings a report card with their name, and or some way to show that you are a citizen of Goochland.

We are pleased to introduce our newest member to the Roadrunner family - music teacher, Ms. Oberacker!
Fun Facts:
-She goes by "Ms. O"
-This is her first year teaching! She recently graduated from West Virginia University.
-Ms. O loves to listen to opera (especially anything composed by Puccini), but she also enjoys pop music (Kelly Clarkson is a personal fave).
-Her hobbies include singing (of course!), reading, and baking.
-She recently moved to the area, so help her discover some of our amazing local coffee shops!
-Ms. O has three pets: a cat (Fanny) and two pugs (Stella and Lola)
We can't wait for our students to get to meet the delightful Ms. O!
